The Seasiders head to the Keepmoat Stadium today fresh off the back of a fine 1-0 win over MK Dons last time out.

And Bournemouth loan star Allsop was pleased to keep his first clean sheet.

He said: “It was massive, first one of the season so, hopefully, there are many more to come.

“That is credit to the lads in front of me aswell.

“I wasn’t too busy on Saturday, the players defended from the front brilliantly and that is credit to everyone in the team, the work ethic we have got here and the way the manager Gary Bowyer wants us to set up and play.”

Last Saturday was Blackpool’s win of the season after losing at Bradford City on the opening day and at Wigan Athletic in the Carabao Cup.

“It has been very positive the way we have gone about it, the way we have played,” Allsop said.

“It was unfortunate against Bradford, I went to the Wigan game and the lads have done very well again.

“We got the win against MK Dons. It is a good kick-start for us and we will hope to do the same again on Saturday.

“We can’t be one of those teams who play well and don’t win.

“It was good to get that win under our belt against MK Dons.

“We will go into today’s game and hopefully do the same.

“Everyone has gelled really well here, it is a really good dressing room, quite a young team and I think we have done brilliantly to settle in so quickly.”
