It was great to be back as the Blackpool and Fylde Sunday Alliance resumed after a four-month break.

Queens FC had spent all that time as Premier League leaders but suffered their first defeat of the season at home to Highfield Social, who have moved three points above them at the top.

Action from Sunday's match between H&A Club and Highfield as the Alliance resumed

Goals by Jordan Spedding, Luke Robinson, Robbie Hulme and Angelo Karadzhinov sealed Social’s 4-2 win.

Ash Robinson scored both for Queens, who played most of the game with 10 men.

If third-placed JD South Blackpool underestimated lowly Phoenix Car Care they will now be regretting it after losing 5-3. AFC Arwick are fourth, leapfrogging Layton after winning there 4-2.

FC Albion were 8-3 winners over bottom club Exceptional Kitchens, while a far tighter contest saw FC Fleetwood win 2-1 at Clarence.

Division One leaders Foxhall picked up where they left off with a 3-0 win over AFC Jacinta.

That opened up a three-point gap at the top because Marton were edged out 4-3 by Kirkham and Wesham.

Another 4-3 thriller saw fourth-placed Mavricks edge out Number Three to stay a point behind Little Blackpool Pug. They were 5-0 winners over Chekk Elec, who slip to fifth.

Just below them on goal difference are Unity Rangers after a 3-1 win over Broadwaters, while Viva Galaxy edged past bottom club Belle Vue 2-1.

FC Rangers extended their lead at the top of division two to four points with a 5-2 win over Highlands.

That’s after West Coast Sports and FC Ciao Ciao shared the spoils 2-2 in the second v third match.

21st Century Windows and Fleetwood Gym are fourth and fifth after both drew 3-3 with struggling opponents, Freckleton and Marshall Court respectively.

New Philly defeated Clifton Rangers 2-0, while H&A Club claimed a close contest 3-2 against Highfield, both winners overtaking their opponents.
