Fortunes can change in a heartbeat, warns Fleetwood's Grant

Saturday’s 2-0 victory at Scunthorpe United meant Uwe Rosler’s players extended their unbeaten run to 18 games.

With fourth-placed Bolton Wanderers the visitors to Highbury on Saturday, Grant has warned anyone associated with the club against any feelings of complacency.

He said: “We will train as hard as we can and prepare for Bolton.

“That’s all we can do because there is no point in thinking we’re going to do this or that. Football can turn in a heartbeat but we can’t let that happen.

“Scunthorpe was always going to be a tough game and I thought we rode our luck a couple of times in the second half. However, the counter-attack for our first goal was outstanding but we have that in our team.

“Scunthorpe were always going to have a few chances. They are well organised but we thoroughly deserved the result in the end.”

Victory at Glanford Park was a more than satisfying one for Grant.

His sixth goal of the season sealed Town’s victory against his former club, while around 500 travelling supporters made the trip to Glanford Park to get behind the players.

“It’s always a great feeling to score against your former club, especially when you’re winning,” Grant said.

“When we were warming up, the fans were brilliant. I hope they continue to get behind us because you don’t understand how much that helps when you go to Scunthorpe and the away end is full.”
