Fleetwood Town fans will pay more to watch League One football next season after the club took the decision to raise season ticket prices.

Town’s cheapest adult deal was £179.50 - guaranteeing a standing place in the Memorial stand.

That will rise to an early bird price of £209.50, an increase of £30 over last year.

The cheapest concession prices are also rising by £30, over-65s entry in the Memorial stand now costing £124.50. Under the early bird deal Under-18s prices are frozen at £94.50.

Under 16s in the Highbury and Memorial stands remain free.

The £30 increase also applies to seats in the Highbury and Parkside stands where early bird season tickets will cost £219.50.

Over 65s tickets will cost £134.50 with under 18s tickets frozen at £104.50 and, once again a £50 fee for under16s in the Parkside.

Early bird prices are available until June 11 after which standard rate prices will apply. £229.50 for an adult standing ticket, £239.50 for seating with concessions priced at £144.50 and £154.50 respectively - a significant reduction on last year.

The club is confident the prices - still under £10 per game for third tier football - will be an attractive prospect.

Chairman Andy Pilley said: “We enjoyed a very successful first season in League One. In my opinion, I believe our season tickets represent excellent value for money and are probably one of the very best in the Football League.

“We want our incredible supporters to continue to back the Club as we look forward to the 2015/16 season.”

Season ticket holders will also receive half price travel on the club’s supporters coaches for all league away matches plus priority on all cup and play-off tickets as well as discounted room hire at Highbury.

Matchday prices have also been announced for the new season with adult tickets ranging from £23 to £25 - members enjoying a £5 discount after paying an initial £10 fee.

Under 12 and under 16 members get free entry to the Memorial or Highbury stands, with an accompanying adult - tickets in those categories normally priced from £15 to £17.

Tickets go on sale at 9am tomorrow (Thursday)
