Fleetwood Town confirm squad numbers ahead of opening fixture

Fleetwood Town have confirmed their squad numbers for the new season ahead of tonight's opening competitive fixture away to Carlisle United in the EFL Trophy.

New signing Callum Camps takes the number 10 shirt, while fellow midfielder Jordan Rossiter retains the number 16 he wore while on loan from Rangers last season.

Glenn Whelan is given his favourite number six shirt, having worn 12 after joining the club in the latter stages of last season.

New keeper Joel Coleman has been given the number one shirt while Alex Cairns - last season's number one - takes number 21.

Four of the 1-11 shirts remain unoccupied. There are vacancies at number two and eight following the departures of Lewie Coyle and Kyle Dempsey, while there are no centre-halves named among the 1-11.

A squad number for Morgan Boyes, the defender signed on loan from Liverpool, is yet to be finalised.

Danny Andrew, Wes Burns, Ched Evans, Josh Morris, Paul Coutts and Paddy Madden retain their familiar numbers, while Harvey Saunders moves from 32 to 20.
