Fleetwood Town boss Uwe Rosler's reaction

Fleetwood head coach Uwe Rosler was pleased his injury hit side picked up another vital point as their quest to hit the 74 point mark rumbled on with a goalless draw at Bury.

Town have not been beaten on the road in 2017 and 572 members of the Cod Army witnessed Town pick up their sixth clean sheet in seven games.

The result saw second-placed Bolton go six points clear with seven games of the campaign to go.

Rosler said: “We take that.

“I think two teams you could see with seven games to go that both teams have a lot to play for - you could see that, there was a lot of tension.

“They have been in-form since Lee Clark came in, I think we still had some decent chances, (Kyle Dempsey) hit the post, Ash Hunter had a good chance.”

Town were boosted by the return of skipper Nathan Pond (calf) and midfielder Martyn Woolford (knee) who both started on the bench at Gigg Lane but both defender Ben Davies and midfielder Markus Schwabl limped off.

Jimmy Ryan, Devante Cole and Chris Neal still in the treatment room and Wes Burns is on the verge of returning to training.

And Rosler admitted the injuries are impacting on performances but says it is another point towards their tally.

He said: “At the moment some players have to play through sickness, injuries, tightness and of course that then has an affect on performances but you know what this stage of the season, we got a point.

“I know we can play better, I’m more worried that we don’t get more injuries than about our performances we got another point closer to our 74 point target and we moving on.”

Earlier this week Town midfielder George Glendon appeared in court after being charged with the rape of a woman in the Grimbsy area in February last year.

Glendon came off the bench at Gigg Lane and Rosler says so long as he is mentally and physically in shape he will continue to play him.

He said: “I think business as usual.

“As long as he is mentally and physically in the right shape I will pick him either on the bench or from the start.”
