But the defender says Town need to be more positive and must make a better start when they host recently relegated MK Dons this Saturday.

Hide AdExperienced campaigner Pond saw his side concede goals to headers early and late in the game, Bobby Grant equalising in between with a penalty against his former club.
And Pond says Town need to a change of outlook against MK Dons in order to get back on track.
The 31-year-old said: “We need to be a lot more positive than we were against Rochdale and we have to make better use of the ball.
“MK Dons are a good footballing side, similar to Rochdale.
“They are coming down from the Championship and they have a lot of good players. It is a big game for the club.
“We need to start positively and start on the front foot.

Hide Ad“I think we can bounce back. We have the players in there and the belief.
“We have been playing well up to Saturday, so we will have to put it right against MK Dons.”
While Rochdale moved above Coventry at the foot of the table, Uwe Rosler’s Town have slipped from fourth to seventh.
Next opponents the Dons are struggling in 16th, having won only two of their eight games following relegation, but Pond insists league standings do not matter at this stage of the season.

Hide AdThe Town stalwart believes that winning your individual battles on the day and getting the three points are what it is all about.
Pond said: “I think you have to keep your momentum going.
“It does not matter where you are in the table – it is us versus them and you versus him, so you just have to make sure you come out on top.”
