FLEETWOOD Town have bolstered their depleted ranks by signing Crawley Town duo Charlie Wassmer and Glenn Wilson on loan.

The duo, part of the squad that earned runaway promotion to the Football League last season, go straight into the squad for Friday night’s televised clash with Lincoln City at Sincil Bank.

Fleetwood suffered a shock loss to Newport County by 4-1 on Tuesday night and a head-count afterwards showed that the squad was down to 17 fully fit players.

Wilson is Crawley’s longest serving player and joined the club in 2007 shortly after the appointment of Steve Evans as manager and quickly established himself in the back four either at his preferred right back position or in the centre of defence.

Wassmer joined Crawley Town in March 2011 having established himself as a highly-promising central defender at Hayes & Yeading.

He made his Conference debut for Hayes last season and was a regular for them before signing for Crawley and made his debut against Kidderminster Harriers in March 2011.
