Danny Andrew: Still so much to play for at Fleetwood Town

Grayson's side have enjoyed a marvellous March to date, taking 13 points out of a possible 15.

It has lifted Town into the top half of League One and just five points outside the play-offs with 10 games to play, starting with tomorrow's home clash with bottom club Swindon Town.

But Grayson, who has led four clubs up from the third tier, is not getting carried away and is looking no further ahead than the visit of the Robins.

However, the head coach isn’t surprised by the momentum that is being built by his players.

Grayson said: “It doesn’t matter who we play, whether it’s a team near the top or the bottom, we have to make sure we do the same things.

“We have to show the same attitude we have in the last few games, keep the platform and keep building.

“The next game is always the most important one and if we win we will be happy."

As for the prospects of a second successive play-off appearance for Fleetwood, he added: "I haven’t seen the table so I don’t really know.

“All I know is that we are going on a run, which I wanted us to do and knew we were capable of doing.

“We’ll take each game as it comes along and see where it takes us.

“Teams come from nowhere and get into the play-offs and I’ve managed to do that with a few teams, but Swindon is the most important thing on our minds.

"People can look at the results recently and say Fleetwood are improving. Have we got too much to make up? Who knows? We'll see where it takes us over the next few weeks.

"Teams have games in hand on us but may need to win them. And we have a happy dressing room compared to seven or eight weeks ago."

And after Saturday's game Fleetwood can look forward to a break of almost two weeks because their visit to Burton Albion has been pushed back a month.

The Pirelli Stadium fixture, scheduled for a week on Saturday (March 27), has moved to Tuesday, April 27 (7pm) because of the Brewers’ international call-ups.

It means that after facing Swindon, Fleetwood won’t be in action again until Peterborough United visit Highbury on Good Friday.
