Blackpool striker joins Grimsby on-loan

Blackpool striker Jamille Matt has joined League Two side Grimsby Town on-loan until the end of the season.

Matt, 27, joined the Seasiders on a free transfer from Fleetwood Town in the summer of 2016.

He racked up 32 league appearances for Gary Bowyer’s side in their successful League Two promotion campaign last term.

Matt has found game-time limited in this new League One season, making just one appearance off the bench in Blackpool’s 2-1 League Cup defeat at Wigan.

And now, the forward has joined Grimsby on-loan to get some more regular playing time.
