Arguably the most testing reality TV show, Who Dares Wins sees a group of amateurs put through SAS training exercises by instructor Ant Middleton.

Set against the backdrop of Scotland’s rugged northwest, the show has pushed contestants to breaking point in the past.

The celebrity edition has kicked off and it doesn’t look like Ant or his assistants will be going any easier on the pampered actors, models and dancers.

Where was Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins filmed?

Like the most recent series of the regular edition Celebrity SAS: Who Dares wins was filmed on the Isle of Raasay, just off the coast of the Isle of Skye.

As rugged as its better known neighbour, Raasay is home to a population of just 192.

Though its peaks don’t reach the heights of Skye’s Cuillin, the island is home to a number of distinct and rough pinnacles, including the 443 metre high Dun Caan.

The island is reached by ferry from Sconser on Skye and welcomes a regular flow of tourists during the summer months, with outdoor adventures often on the itineraries of visitors.
