The town's household waste recycling centre facility, located in Jameson Road, has been closed today (January 14) due to adverse weather conditions.

Lancashire County Council has apologised for any inconvenience caused and have said they hope to reopen the tip later today.

"Our recycling centre at Jameson Road, Fleetwood, is currently closed due to flooding following heavy rain in the area," a council spokesman said.

"We're sorry for any inconvenience caused, and expect to be able to reopen the site later this afternoon once the water subsides."
