A weekend of SpringSong and FolkFolly takes place this weekend at Fleetwood Bowling Club.
It’s almost a preview of what’s to come for Fleetwood Folk and Blues Club FAB Weekend later this year as it will present some of the artists booked for the festival.
The SpringSong Concert is on Friday evening with Richard Grainger, Plant and Taylor, fresh from recording their new album, Geronimo’s Cadillac (former members of Ian Gartside Band) and will be headlined by Reg Meuross, one of the most outstanding singer songwriters around, as part of his album launch.
Doors for this event open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start. Tickets will be £12 on the door.
On Saturday afternoon, Fleetwood Acoustic Room, from 1pm to 5pm, will be hosted by Plant and Taylor.
This is Fleetwood Folk and Blues’ most recent venture which gives artists the opportunity to perform and showcase, and provides an abundance of entertainment to an enthusiastic audience.
Admission is by donation or raffle.
The FolkFolly Concert on April Fool’s Day presents Cartoon Food, Hadrian’s Union and Dai Thomas.
It will be topped off with the cream of the evening, our town’s name sake, Fleetwood Cave with Gregg Cave and Marion Fleetwood.
They are seasoned performers who have performed in headliners such as Tradarr, Gerry Dolvin Band and the Jigantics.
