They were the first guests at Fleetwood’s R ‘n B Club when it was launched in January 2015 and The Marauders were also the opening act at Fleetwood Blues Club in its Catholic Club days. Later they were frequent visitors to the town’s legendary Market Tavern (now closed).

The Marauders have been together in one form or another since 1981 and have been regular visitors to The Fylde over the last 30 years. The band have also been featured on the Paul Jones’ BBC Radio Show “Blues on Two” which led to a flood of requests for the band’s two CDs “Red Hot and Rocking” and “Dynamite Blues”. The current line up is a 4 piece with Chris WIZZ Gee on harmonica, Pete Konnanov on guitar, Aaron Lloyd, ex Mighty Revelators, on bass and Jon Lowe, a professional musician all his life, on drums.

The band are well known for their uptempo rocking sets which include covers of The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Dr. Feelgood and Chuck Berry. “ I enjoyed my introduction to Fleetwood last year,” said new bassist Aaron Lloyd, “ a responsive audience, real ale, tasty food. I understand now why the band are so enthusiastic about gigging in Fleetwood.” Admission to the gig is free and the music starts around 9:30pm.
