Emergency services called over smoke worry at Blackpool and Fylde Industrial Estate

Fire engines from three stations were called to Blackpool and Fylde Industrial Estate this afternoon.

Crews from Blackpool, South Shore and St Annes attended commercial premises this afternoon (Friday, June 15) in Brunel Way after receiving reports of a smell of smoke.

Upon arrival at 1:10pm crews found the cause to be hydraulic oil in lift apparatus overheating.

Firefighters isolated the system and a lift engineer set about repairs.

No-one was injured.
