Fleetwood boss Uwe Rosler is hoping to give Town’s potentially biggest travelling support of the season a good day at Glanford Park today.
Town travel to second-placed Scunthorpe with more than 300 of the Cod Army anticipated to follow them to Lincolnshire.
Rosler believes the increasing away support shows how Town’s season is going so far as they aim to make it 18 unbeaten in the league today.
He said: “Over 300 shows a how far we have come this season and what sort of excitement and buzz is around the club.
“We – the coaching staff, the players – all embrace those sort of numbers.
“I’m just looking forward to the game; it will be tough, the pitch is a little bit like our one.
“We need to be sure that we are ready for their approach, we are ready to get the ball down in tight areas, play to our strength and hope that we can give our supporters a good day.”
Rosler says that consistency is key to Town’s current 17-game unbeaten run.
They head to Glanford Park knowing victory against former boss Graham Alexander will take them into the automatic promotion places in League One.
He said: “What is very important for our season is that we are consistent in what we are doing.
“That starts in the morning when we meet up at 9.30am until we leave the football ground.
“We are consistent in what we are doing; the result is the performances and the results on the weekends.
“We work in the margins; the margins are on our side and we are working really hard to keep them on our side.
“That is for me the key factor; that is where we are.”
