Reunion's just the ticket
Tickets for this popular summer event have now gone on sale - and it just happens that these colourful dockets have become collector’s pieces in their own right.
The event is now in its 13th year and every year the tickets have a different design, based on photos of well known Fleetwood trawlers.

Hide AdEx-fisherman Leon O’Flaherty, of Leven Avenue, who is one of the reunion organisers, said: “They could have ended up being just boring pieces of white card, but from the beginning we ended up having these nice deigns for them.
“It just adds to the occasion and I know some of the lads like to keep them. This year’s ticket shows a picture of the trawler Cevic on then ferry beach, and on the flip side there’s a nice photograph paying tribute to Matty Wood, an-ex Fleetwood fishermen who died last year.”
The event attracts ex-fishermen and their wives not only Fleetwood but as far as Lowestoft, Scotland, Ireland and even Australia. It includes live music and a raffle.
The organisers have set a new date for this year’s bash - it will now be taking place at Fleetwood Conservative Club, Lowther Road, on Saturday July 30, instead the original date which was in August.
