Starting at Silloth and ending in West Kirkby, the yellow welly, a symbol of the volunteer lifesavers equipment, will travel to Fleetwood this Thursday, met by the port’s Lifeboat team.

The aim is to raise £750,000 for vital equipment to the lifeboat crews.

The Fleetwood team will transport it down to their friends and neighbours at Blackpool RNLI, to continue its journey.

Anyone wishing to join the Relay team from Fleetwood RNLI on the tram trip to Blackpool, should meet at the ferry around 10.30am, to welcome the welly.
