Two popular live acts make welcome returns to Fleetwood this weekend for the first time this year.
The Strawberry Gardens on Poulton Road plays host to Nick Dow and the Alleycats on Friday and the Tony Auton Band on Saturday.
Nick Dow has worked in various genres of music, ranging from folk to blues and rock ‘n roll.
On Friday it will be all about blues and rock ‘n roll.
Saturday’s sees the Tony Auton Band back at the Strawberry.
The Manchester-based trio comprise Stuart Eastham on the bass, Craig Winston on drums and Tony on guitar, harmonica and lead vocals.
The band have built up a loyal following in Fleetwood over the years.
Fans can expect to hear several favourites from the Tony Auton songbook including Just Like Howlin’ Wolf, Thunderbird Wine and Freak Show. A few covers have also featured in recent set lists including Brown Sugar, A Rainy Night in Georgia, Heatwave and The Clash favourite I fought The Law.
Tony said: “It’s great to be back playing regularly in Fleetwood.
“This is the first Saturday gig we’ve played in the town for many years as we’ve been gigging here only on Fridays since 2011.
“We first played Fleetwood in 1995 and I’ve made a lot of friends in the town over the years.”
Admission to both gigs is free and the music starts around 9pm
