It is a brand new era for Robert Brown, who is more familiar on his pet stall, than a deli.

But when a new venture was in the offering, Robert decided to take the plunge and open Skye’s Deli.

He said: “After 10 years with the pet stall, I fancied a new business venture before I retire and felt a market deli was something I could get my teeth into, so to speak.

“As a fond reminder of my time at the pet stall I chose to name my new business after family pet Skye, our bearded collie dog.

“My wife and I are somewhat ‘afternoon tea aficionados’ and this was reason enough to bring a great afternoon tea offer to shoppers at Fleetwood Market as well as other delicious treats to try.

“With the help of Wyre Council we have worked together to renovate the unit and it is looking great and we’re excited to get going.

“Where possible we source all our produce locally – from breakfasts to light bites for lunches, cheeses to olives, cakes to coffee. There’s lots on offer.”

There will be specials every day too to offer variety to customers.

Skye’s Deli is open every market day - Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday year round from 9am – 4.30pm.
