A man accused of cruelty to a snake has had his case adjourned for a week by magistrates.
Darren Pike, 26, of Elderwood Avenue,Fleetwood, faces four allegations in a case brought by the RSPCA.
Pike is accused of failing to meet the needs of a Corn Snake by not giving a proper living environment.
He is also accused of not giving the snake a proper water supply.
Pike is further accused of causing the snake pain and suffering by not getting it vetinary treatment and care for its moribund state and paralysis, which related to a fractured tail.
Blackpool magistrates adjourned the hearing.
