Ghoulish goings on as gamers have a field day at the Winter Gardens

Blackpool played host to a range of video games and consoles at the weekend as part of a huge convention at the Winter Gardens.

There was an impressive array of costumes on display as gaming enthusiasts got in the spirit for the occasion.

Gamers young and old turned up to enjoy Games Mania on Saturday and Sunday.

The were able to enjoy classics – such as Donkey Kong and Pacman – as well as newer offerings, including the latest virtual reality games.

Organiser Nigel Moran said the event was intended to provide a ‘family, fun vibe’.
