Commercial utilities and sports entrepreneur Andy Pilley has launched a talent search as he looks to expand his business by offering North West workers “real careers”.

The BES Group – which incorporates Fleetwood Town FC and commercial energy supplier BES Utilities – said it is searching for a variety of local talent to join its existing workforce.

Last year it took on 50 new staff running recruitment events over two evenings.

This time it will be staging a day-long recruitment event which will take
place on Tuesday, July 19, at Fleetwood Town’s Highbury stadium, and the BES team wants to hear from as many potential candidates as possible.

Managing director Andy Pilley said: “The BES Group has grown and grown over the last few years.

“This is an exciting time and we’re delighted to announce that, due to our continuing success we are looking to find ambitious people who want to become a part of our future development.

“This could include joining the BES Utilities team, a company that is at the forefront of commercial energy, working at Fleetwood Town Football Club’s new £8m state-of-the-art training complex, at our wonderful new Crossbar and Grill restaurant or joining our ever-expanding Card Saver team.

“As a Fylde coast-based company, which employs more than 400 people already, we are proud to offer not only jobs but real careers.

“The recruitment event is a great way to showcase the business as career path and to meet local talent.”

Roles available range from managerial positions right through to domestic support that keep the group’s facilities to the highest standard.

Anyone interested in learning more will be able to drop in their CVs to BES managers at the event (between 10am and 6.30pm), alternatively interest forms will be provided.

BES Utilities, which supplies electricity, gas and telecommunication services to businesses nationwide, was set up by entrepreneur brother and sister duo, Andy Pilley and Michelle Davidson in 2004.

The company saw a 20 per cent rise in customers in 2015 and is an industry leader in the roll-out of smart electricity meters.

The BES Group incorporates; BES Utilities – a commercial utility supplier of gas, electricity and telecoms; Fleetwood Town Football Club – Sky Bet League One football club which includes Poolfoot Farm Sports and Leisure Complex, the Crossbar and Grill sports bar and restaurant and Fleetwood Town FC Community Trust; plus Card Saver – a business merchant services provider.
