Fourth Blackpool Business Expo to boost economy

Businesses on the Fylde coast will have the chance to get together, network and pick up tips at the fourth Blackpool Business Expo at the end of summer.

Organisers say business experts will be on hand to share their secrets of growth success, meet customers on neutral ground and show off product.

It is being staged by Launch Events North West at the Village Resort off East Park Drive, following the success of last year’s event which attracted hundreds.

Blackpool Business Expo – which is dedicated to supporting the town’s economy – will return on Wednesday, September 26 running from 9am to 3pm. More than 80 business stakeholders from the Fylde coast have already registered for the free event.

Local and national exhibitors including Blackpool Unlimited and Baltic Training will be on hand to offer free business advice to visitors, and event partners Boost Business Lancashire will be sharing information on the support available for businesses looking to expand.

Nichola Howard, founder of Launch Events North West and organiser of Blackpool Expo, said: “Hosting Blackpool Expo is always a highlight in the Launch Events calendar.

“The town’s business community really gets behind the event and there is always a real buzz in the room as people look to build relationships and do business with each other.

‘We’ve already got some fantastic local businesses set to showcase their services, including hospitality experts Little Touches and health and safety specialists RKMS - along with a few plans up our sleeve to inject the ‘fun factor’, Blackpool style.”

She said as a small business owner herself she wanted to see the economy grow and her ethos was to empower business communities by giving them a platform to showcase their wares and get free quality advice.

Blackpool Council’s Blackpool Unlimited online business support team will be present to offer free advice designed to help local business people as will Lancashire Fire and Rescue and the Intellectual Property Office.
