‘Feel good food’ specialist, Grape Tree has opened new premises in Fleetwood’s Freeport shopping centre.

The chain, founded just 18 months ago, is hoping to open its 50th branch by the end of the year.

In addition to the discounts of up to 60 per cent off, available on the wide selection of dried fruits, seeds and home baking products in the new store, off Anchorage Road, there is also a range of old-fashioned sweets and confectionary.

Grape Tree has been launched by the team that created the successful brand Julian Graves.

And the latest Fleetwood store has created four new jobs for the area.

The man behind the project, entrepreneur Nick Shutts, launched the Julian Graves chain and built it into a brand with 350 shops across the UK.

He said: “It’s great to be back. Many of our old team have come together again and it is exhilarating to be back in business.

“Given our experience in the past and the reaction we are getting to the new stores we are convinced we are meeting a real gap in the market.”

Grape Tree’s range includes 79 different dried fruit products, 84 different way of buying nuts, 40 different mixes and 17 seed products.

It also sells a wide selection of home baking products including saffron, vanilla pods, herbs and spices.

Centre manager, John Magee, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming the Grape Tree brand and team to Freeport Fleetwood.

“The distinctive brand and Grape Tree products will further strengthen our offering in the centre.”

Late night shopping is also available every Thursday until 8pm.
