A folk and blues live music event takes place in Fleetwood tomorrow.

It’s happening at the North Euston Hotel and will see two concerts hosting 12 acts and a session during the interval for guests to play their own instruments and to sing.

It is being staged by Fleetwood Folk and Blues which confirmed this week that the annual Fleetwood Folk and Blues weekend will take place again this year.

At tomorrow’s event, which starts at 2pm, the group will be airing their new merchandise which will be available to buy and there will be opportunities to win on the raffles.

The team will also be around to talk to and earlybird weekend tickets for September festival will be available to buy.

Organiser Rachael Bailey said: “All in all it’s going to be a great day filled with folk, blues and acoustic music, humour and fun.

“The whole day is a free event and the bar closes at midnight, so come and join us to folk away those winter blues!”

Artists performing are include Mike Burns, Ian Brandwood, Celia Ketchell , Plant and Taylor (The X-Ray Cinema) and Cartoon Food.

John Carroll(Shakers Blues Band with special guest), Ian Gartside & Sue Bousfield, Adam Smith and Dai Thomas featuring Barrelhouse Barbara, Pete Ryder (formally of The Strawbs), Scolds Bridle and Geronimo’s Cadillac will close the evening.

The festival weekend is planned for September 2-4 across several venues including The Bug and Fleetwood Bowling Club.

Early bird tickets for the event are £45 with free camping and under 16s go free.
