A charity shop volunteer from Fleetwood is nominated for Young Volunteer of the Year Award at the Charity Retail Awards.
Heather Barnes, 17, of Fleetwood, will be acknowledged on June 29 at the awards.
Heather has been nominated for Young Volunteer of the Year for her voluntary work at the Trinity Hospice shop in Cleveleys. The award celebrates the work young volunteers up and down the country do for charity.
The awards ceremony is held by the Charity Retail Association (CRA).
Heather was nominated for the award by Cleveleys Trinity shop manager Rachel Brown.
She said: “Heather started volunteering at our Cleveleys shop at the age of 14 on the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. Now 17 she has continued volunteering all the way through her GCSEs and A Levels and while also working part time in the local jewellers.
“Heather has proved to be an outstanding Ambassador for Trinity and an excellent fund-raiser.”
