A sales manager was over the alcohol limit when he overturned his car which landed on its roof as he tried to find his mobile phone.
Nicholas Millar started to drink after returning to his family home to find he had been locked out and his belongings packed up.
Millar, 37, of Waring Drive, Thornton, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol.
He was banned from the road for 14 months and fined £415 with £85 costs plus £41 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.
Andrea Fawcett, prosecuting, said Millar was driving a VW Golf on Holmes Road on November 1 at 4.30pm when he collided with two parked cars and his vehicle overturned. Millar told police he had drunk two pints of lager.
He said his mobile phone had fallen onto the floor of the car and as he went to pick it up he lost control.
