A woman with a history of violence headbutted another woman at a Fleetwood night club.

After the assault, Courtney Taylor told a witness who challenged her: “I’ll do it to you as well in a minute.”

Taylor, 20, of St Peter’s Place, Fleetwood, was given a suspended sentence order by a judge at Preston Crown court.

She had admitted an offence of common assault and was given four months youth custody, suspended for two years, with 12 months supervision and 50hours unpaid work.

The attack took place in January at Rafters nightclub on London Street, Fleetwood.

Graham Robinson, prosecuting, said the victim had gone to the bar for a drink in the early hours and ended up standing next to Taylor at the bar.

“Without warning she was suddenly headbutted in the face. Her nose started to bleed immediately”, Mr Robinson told the court.

The defendant walked away. One of the victim’s friends challenged her, saying: “What on Earth do you think you are doing?”

Taylor was said to have
responded with: “I’ll do it to you as well in a minute”.

Taylor had previous convictions including assault.

Her last sentence was back in 2011.

Rachel Woods, defending, said she had an unenviable record for a 20 year old, but her last conviction was four years ago.

She said:“Feelings were running high this particular evening.

“She very much let herself down by committing what
she accepts is a serious offence.”
