Sales rep squared up to officers
A drunk sales rep swore and called a police officer fat, before adopting a fighting stance in Poulton.
Carl Cummins, 24, of Whitegate Drive, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly.
He was fined £250 with £85 costs and ordered to pay £30 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.
Martine Connah, prosecuting, said police in Poulton were called to the Uber nightspot where doorstaff said Cummins had been causing problems on April 24 at 2.45am.
Cummins refused to leave the area and clenched his fists.
Cummins said: “I was out with friends and got really drunk. I know that’s no excuse. I have a son and should be leading by example.”
