A manhunt was under way today to catch a gang of raiders who ambushed security guards at a Fylde coast bank.
The guards from G4S were delivering cash to Santander on Victoria Road West, Cleveleys (above) at 6.55pm yesterday when the raiders struck.
One of the guards who was filling up one of the machines was shoved to the ground before the raiders escaped with an unspecified amount of cash.
The guards, who were unhurt, managed to call 999 but the gang fled in a light coloured vehicle.
Police said they could not confirm whether a weapon was used in the attack.
Detectives were last nightinterviewing the guards and any eye witnesses who saw the drama unfold in a bid to get a clear description of the raiders.
The investigation is being led by Detective Inspector Jim Elston.
