Hunt for man over death outside pub in Fleetwood

Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to about the death of a man in Fleetwood.

Detectives want to find Lee Sharples, 19, after David Allinson, 63, died following an alleged assault outside the King’s Arms Hotel in Lord Street on Sunday.

Mr Allinson was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for treatment but sadly died a short time later. A post mortem examination revealed he died as a result of a heart attack.

Following enquiries, officers are keen to trace Sharples in connection with the investigation.

He is described as white, 6ft tall and of slim build. He has links to the Fleetwood area.

Detectives are appealing for information and urging anyone who has seen him or knows where he is to contact police.

Det Chief Insp Gareth Willis, of Lancashire Police, said: “Lee Sharples is wanted in connection with a very serious offence.

“We are appealing for information leading to his whereabouts. If you see him please contact police immediately.

“Furthermore, I would encourage Sharples, if he sees this appeal, to come forward.”

Anyone with information can contact police on 101 quoting log reference 1327 of July 22.

A 62-year-old man from Fleetwood, earlier arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released under investigation.
