Alister Dyson’s ex said his behaviour had left her nervous in her home, struggling to sleep and suffering from a rash.

Dyson, 31, formerly of Warrenhurst Avenue, Fleetwood, now living at West Road, Lancaster, pleaded guilty to harassment.

He was given a two-year conditional discharge, ordered to pay £100 compensation with £50 costs plus £20 victim’s surcharge and put on a restraining order for two years which bans him from contacting his ex by Blackpool magistrates.

Martine Connah, prosecuting, said after the couple broke up Dyson had been given a harassment warning by police in January.

On April 13, Dyson’s ex received two messages via Whatsapp. One asked if she knew where a friend could stay and the other asked if she had called him.

Peter Cave, defending, said Dyson’s relationship with his ex ended when she went out to work one day and never returned. After this he tried to commit suicide.

Dyson knew his ex lived in Worcestershire but not where. He had a friend who was going to a football match in the county so asked his ex where the friend could stay.
