Coastguard and lifeboat crews mobilised to help boat 'in distress'
Coastguard and lifeboats from Fleetwood were called out yesterday to help a boat that had got into difficulty.
The two maritime rescue services mobilised at 1:08pm after receiving reports of a vessel with a damaged mast.
Lifeboats crews attended the damage vessel to find a small catamaran with a broken mast.
A spokesman from HM Coastguard Fleetwood said: "The vessel was towed to Skippool and handed over to the coastguard team who assisted with the securing the vessel and ensuring those on-board where safe and sound."
