Circus star Charlie Jr to play Cinders' dad in Charter panto

A circus star who built his career in Blackpool will join Lytham funnyman Phil Walker in Preston Charter Theatre's 2018 panto Cinderella.

Phil (pictured) will play Cinders’ loveable pal Buttons, as well as writing and directing the show for a fourth year.

He’ll be joined by Charlie Cairoli Jnr, the son of Blackpool Circus star Charlie Cairoli, playing Baron Hardup, Cinderella’s father.

Charlie Jnr spent the first decade of his career performing in the Tower Circus’s musical comedy and slosh acts.

The fairytale favourite runs from Thursday, December 6 to Thursday, January 3.

Another local duo are Blackpool-based Jamie Morris and Tarot Joseph as the Ugly Sisters, playing the pair for the 10th time together.

Also appearing will be Jady Natalie from Nick Jr’s children’s pop bad Go!Go!Go! as Cinderella and her co-star Carl Tracey as Prince Charming, who played as Aladdin last year.

Rounding the line-up will be Canadian comedian Allyson June Smith as Fairy Godmother.
