Sales are up by as much as 20 per cent up for a programme starts on June 12 with Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights, presented by the Chapterhouse Theatre company, followed by a trio of productions by the Illyria company - Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream on Friday, July 1, Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic operetta Ruddigore on Sunday, July 10 and Roald Dahl’s Danny The Champion of the World on Sunday, August 28.

Pat Booth from Plackitt and Booth Booksellers in Lytham’s Clifton Street, one of seven ticket outlets around Fylde, says he has received many favourable comments on the 2016 programme and feels that people are particularly delighted that there is no increase in ticket prices on last year.

Julian Wilde, organiser of the outdoor season, is delighted with the willingness of local venues and businesses to sell tickets. I think it’s important to give everyone the opportunity to buy tickets online directly from the companies, but also to provide plenty of convenient local ticket points,” he said.
