Potential parents from across the Fylde coast can find out more about adoption at an information evening.

People who have adopted will be there to share their experiences, and social workers will also be available to answer any questions you might have, talk you through the process and offer confidential advice.

A spokesperson for Lancashire County Council said: “We need people from all backgrounds.

“You must be over 21, and living in Lancashire or close by, but whatever your race, gender, sexuality, living arrangements, age and employment status we want to hear from you.

“What matters to us are your personal qualities and that you are able to provide a loving home where you can support and look after a child throughout their childhood and beyond.”

The event will be held on Thursday August 8 between 6pm and 7.30pm in Cabinet Room C, at County Hall, Preston.
