Fleetwood barber opens at 7am for first day of reopening after lockdown
The first day of reopening after lockdown couldn't come soon enough for Fleetwood barber Dave Gotto.
Dave, 55, opened his Lord Street premises at 7am today to accommodate all the customers desperate for a haircut.
At just after 9.30am, the shop was busy.
Dave said; "It feels good to reopen, this latest lockdown has been the hardest, psychologically.
"I've been in the business since 1988 and for the first eight years I never had a week off.
"In lockdown I've been shut for seven months, altogether.
"I've seen all the supermarkets packed out with people and yet my shop, with PPE and sanitisers has been shut. That's been tough.
"But the Government has been good to us. The loans meant I didn't worry about losing the house.
"Being open again in brilliant."
