Work at the exclusive 30-bedroom boutique hotel, which recently became part of the Leeu Collection of luxury hotels, includes the installation of new electrical and mechanical services.

These are in rooms, suites, kitchens and public areas, together with a collection of woodland suites and luxury wooden cabins set within the 14-acre grounds, and with hilltop views of Windermere.

In addition to installation of services, Ameon has designed and installed a ground source heat pump system under the landscaped grounds to provide a an environmentally friendly source of heating for the complex.

The system dramatically reduces the Hotel’s reliance on conventional carbon-based energy supplies.

Linthwaite House Hotel is the third contract to be awarded to Ameon by main contractor, Galliford Try, and is one of a raft of recent gains for the Whitehills headquartered company, which has grown from its regional base to become a truly national operator.

Managing director, Robin Lawson believes the contract demonstrates the company’s versatility and breadth of service.

He said: “Our work at Linthwaite House illustrates that we are equally at home in niche markets such as the luxury hotel sector as we are in large scale, multi-occupancy residential and commercial developments of the kind undertaken by us in cities around the UK.

“Our quality standards are the same wherever we operate, which is perhaps why our portfolio of projects is so diverse.”

Ameon was founded in 1996 and has three offices in the North West with 250 staff. It specialises in the application of renewable technologies, and also in the design and installation of mechanical, electrical and environmental services for private and public sector construction projects.
