VIDEO: Partial road closures in place after Promenade fire
Firefighters equipped with breathing gear tackled a fire on Blackpool Promenade.
Four fire engines, two from Forest Gate, one from Bispham and one from South Shore, were called at 12.21pm to the entrance area to a number of buildings opposite Central Pier.
The fire has now been extinguished and police and fire crews remain at the scene. No injuries were reported.
A road closure is currently in place southbound on the Prom, with traffic being diverted onto Chapel Street and Foxhall Road. Bus services 1 and 11 travelling southbound have also been diverted.
