RAF parade along the prom
To the sounds of military brass band from the Royal Air Force College and carrying association flags, they made their way to the war memorial for a service of dedication on Sunday morning.
A salute was taken by RAF Association President and an RAF Hurricane gave a fly-past at the end of the dedication service.

Hide AdThe event was part of The Royal Air Forces Association annual conference, which was being held at the Hilton Hotel, and there were 148 people in the parade, including local air cadets.
The aim was to bring members from across the world together to discuss, debate and resolve issues facing the RAF family. It also allowed members to celebrate the achievements of cadets and also volunteers, who raise money for Association’s Wings Appeal and deliver the majority of the welfare support that the charity was established carry out.
RAF rep Emma Reed said it was a fantastic occasion and the fly-past was particularly touching.
