Rescue teams out in force as man threatens to jump from Blackpool pier
Emergency services are out in force on North Pier.
Police, ambulance services, the RNLI, coastguard and fire and rescue services were called to the pier at around 11.45am to reports that a man was threatening to jump off.
They remain at the scene.
A police spokesman said: "Hopefully he will be picked up shortly and taken to a place of safety."
