MP welcomes Blackpool airport enterprise zone changes
Speaking after the plans were approved by both Blackpool and Fylde councils, he said he was pleased that people’s comments were heeded.
Neighbours of the site were concerned about industrial buildings being built too close to their homes, while many people wanted to use the enterprise zone as a chance to improve rail services in the area.

He said: “On the Oakland Close issues I and my office have had contacts with some of the residents that expressed concerns and we have taken it up and asked for further clarification from Planning and the EZ management.
"I have also raised the matter with the Chief Executive and underlined those concerns , so am hopeful that any future planning developments will reflect them.
“On the Blackpool South rail line passing loop and related issues, it is encouraging if the masterplan intends to include this.
