Growing Fylde firm nets £15m in projects

'‹One of the North West's success stories in the construction and building services sector has secured another raft of contracts worth in excess of £15m, as the company steers towards £50m turnover.

Blackpool-based building services engineering specialist, Ameon, has boosted turnover for 2017/18 with gains on a number of high-profile new developments in Manchester and Salford.

These include several prestigious projects for Manchester Life in New Islington and a handful of new developments and fit outs in New Bailey.

That includes the £2.4m contract to install all mechanical and electrical services for a block of 135 apartments at Plot A6, together with the fit out of new offices over four floors for global law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, worth £2.5m.

The new contracts also include a £1.6m M&E fit out of international professional services company, Ernst & Young’s Manchester offices and work on three prestigious new Manchester Life residential apartment developments – Chalk Project, Flour Project and Blossom Iron; valued at over £9m.

The company, was formed in 1996 and has achieved steady growth. Managing director, Robin Lawson, said: “Although we have headquarters in Lancashire, regional offices across the North of England and a significant project portfolio in Manchester, we are now a truly national operator, which demonstrates our strength as a business.”
