Toni Hammond, 39, of Moorland Road, St Annes, had her case adjourned for trial by Blackpool magistrates.
• A man who had had a learner’s licence for 10 years was stopped driving alone in his friend’s Mercedes by police at Kirkham.
Anthony Scott, who at first told officers his friend did not know he had the car, also had cocaine with him in the vehicle.

Hide AdScott, 27, of Clifton Avenue, Warton, pleaded guilty to illegal possession of drugs, driving without insurance and not in accordance with his provisional licence.
He was fined £240 with £85 costs and ordered to pay £20 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates who ordered the destruction of the drugs.
Jim Mowbray, prosecuting, said police stopped Scott on Marsden Street, Kirkham on October 10 at 1.40am.
At first Scott told officers: “It’s my friend’s, he does not know I have it.”

Hide AdLater it was discovered he did have permission to drive the car.
He admitted a small amount of cocaine found was his.
Steven Townley, defending, said Scott had had a learner’s licence for 10 years, had had numerous driving lessons and failed his test twice.
Scott had given a friend a lift home in the friend’s car as the friend had been drinking and he had not.
He was then allowed to drive home
• An accountant who kept a separate address from her husband because they were not getting on grew cannabis at the property.

Hide AdPolice raided the flat in Dudley Road, North Shore, which was rented by Kelly Thompson and found cannabis plants growing in a bedroom there.
Thompson, 32, of Edenfield, Clifton Drive, Lytham, pleaded guilty to producing cannabis.
She was fined £120 with £85 costs and ordered to pay £20 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates who ordered the destruction of the drugs and equipment.
Pam Smith, prosecuting, said on November 17 police executed a drugs search warrant at a flat in Dudley Avenue and found 10 cannabis plants growing in an upstairs bedroom.

Hide AdThe flat appeared unoccupied with no furniture or personal belongings in it, only hydroponic equipment for growing the cannabis.
The landlord claimed the the drugs factory had caused damage to the carpets, bath and bathroom wall.
Kathryn Jamieson-Sinclair, defending, said Thompson and her husband occupied separate addresses because of arguments they were having at the time.
Thompson had rented the flat and because she did not want to buy cannabis from dealers decided to grow the drug herself.

Hide AdShe was finding it difficult being estranged from her husband and smoked cannabis to get her through the difficult time.
Thompson said she had grown seven plants.
Thompson and her husband were now back together and expecting their first child. She did not use cannabis any more and had no intention of using it again.
• A care worker accused of driving while almost three times over the limit has made her first appearance at court.
Tracey Leatham, 55, of Porritt Place, St Annes, pleaded not guilty to to driving a Renault Megane on Blackpool’s Cornwall Place with 99 microgrammes of alcohol in her body.

• A man accused of assaulting another man at Wesham has made his first appearance at court.
James Finlay, 36, of Billington Street, Wesham, had his case adjourned by Blackpool magistrates.
• A hairdresser was more than twice over the alcohol limit when she crashed into a bollard at Kirkham.

Hide AdVictoria Knight set off again after the accident and returned home where police found her.
Knight, 36, of Ribby Road, Kirkham, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol.
She was banned from the road for 18 months and fined £350 with £85 costs plus £35 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.
Pam Smith, prosecuting, said police received a report a BMW had collided with a bollard on Market Square, on December 18, at 10.45pm.

For some reason, she decided to drive to the shop for some cigarettes and a magazine.
