'Everything was just perfect'
And that was the case for Kim Rolls and Paul Gage who finally made it the altar after a string of disappointments.
Driving school owner Kim, and Michael, 48, an estimator for Evans Halshaw, wed at All Hallows Church in Bispham before a reception at Staining Lodge Golf Course.

“The first venue could not get a late licence, my first dress was gone, along with £1,500 when Dan Kerr went into administration - and we got caught out on a scam on Facebook when we booked our first honeymoon villa!”
And it didn’t end there - they wanted one band but couldn’t get them so booked another - only to find eight weeks to go that the first band had a cancellation and were able to entertain at their wedding afterall.
And the vicar booked to conduct the ceremony, was unable to attend on the day and his stand in had to do the honours - it was his first wedding at the church.

“They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect with just eight weeks to go.
“The Deadbeats were amazing and the reverend who conducted the service had been at the rehearsal - he was more nervous than us but was brilliant on the day and it went great!”
The couple met as they lived on the same street and had known each other for a while before romance blossomed in 2013.

“He kept looking for a cafe,” said Kim, “and after buying me a bacon sandwich and a brew in a greasy spoon he dragged me across the biggest puddle ever and dropped to one knee.
“It was amazing though and made me cry.”
“I had been making subtle hints for a while - but he planned it with my daughter Natasja and his son Shea who helped pick the ring behind my back. The kids made him do it that day as he had been putting it off for two weeks, I was clueless.”
On the day itself, Paul surprised Kim with a bracelet and a text which set off her emotions ahead of a day filled with joy and special moments.

“Not one of them had the right suit on but they looked fab!” said Kim.
They had a movie theme for the reception, a magician and caraciturist too and the couple danced their first dance to Bon Jov’s Always - a choice which had taken 12 months and a Facebook vote to decide.
Kim said: “It was the most amazing day of my life.
“I married my best friend and my soul mate, everything was just perfect, all our friends and family in one place, and even the sun came out.”
