15-year-old cyclist suffers broken hip after collision with a Ford Ka in Blackpool

The 15-year-old boy was left injured after colliding with a Ford Ka while he was riding his bicycle on Devonshire Road at around 3.05pm on Sunday.
Police are appealing for help to trace the driver of the silver Ford, who stopped at the scene and offered assistance to the cyclist but no details were exchanged.

Hide AdThe driver then left the scene and the boy was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital. It was later confirmed he had suffered a broken hip.
PC Sean Erett, of the Lancashire Police TacOps team, said: “I must stress that the driver of the Ka stopped at the scene to check the cyclist was okay.
“Since then it has become clear that the cyclist’s injuries were more serious than initially thought and he remains in hospital undergoing treatment.
“We would now like to trace the driver of the Ka to get their account of what happened and we are urging them, or anyone who thinks they know who they may be, to get in touch.
