POULTON Drama are treading the boards again in a production early next month.
They are staging the ghostly comedy Life and Beth, by Alan Ayckbourn, at Thornton Little Theatre.
The dates are Wednesday, March 7 to Saturday, March 10, beginning each night at 7.30pm.
Written in 2008 as a third part of a trilogy named Things That Go Bump, the play unites the cast of the first two plays: Haunting Julia (1994) and Snake in the Grass (2002).
It is about a recently bereaved widow, Beth, troubled by her family’s misguided support and a late husband who won’t leave her alone.
As usual with this popular playwright (pictured), the play has both comic and serious moments, but is considered to be the lightest of the three works.
It has been compared to Noël Coward’s supernatural classic, Blyth Spirit.
