Rock star Fish is splashing into Fleetwood this weekend as part of his Fish Heads Acoustic tour 2011.

He is performing at the town’s Marine Hall on Sunday, November 27. The show begins at 8pm.

Fish – born Derek William Dick in Midlothian, Scotland – made his name as the front man and singer with progressive rock band Marillion, who were at their zenith in the 1980s and made several appearances on legendary chart show, Top of The Pops. He left the band in 1988 to pursue a solo career, and has proved a prolific artist, having released no less than nine studio albums, with a tenth due out later this year.

The singer, who has also made occasional appearances on TV and film as an actor, is performing as part of an acoustic trio.

There is no support artist for this current tour.

Tickets cost £17.50 and are available now from the Marine Hall box.
