FLEETWOOD drummer Chris Minto has come to the rescue of the Wyre Gang Show.

Chris, a 32-year-old postman, saw an appeal in the Weekly News for a drummer for the show at the Marine Hall on April 28-30.

A vacancy had come up because the main drummer would have to miss some of the show performances – and time was running out.

As both a former Wyre Gang Show member and Scout with the 5th Fleetwood Scout Group, Chris felt in was his duty to contact the show’s director and offer his services.

Chris said: “My days in the Gang Show were fun, and I want other Scouts and Guides to enjoy the thrill of being on stage, that’s why I offered my service.”

Colin Garner, public relations officer for Wyre District Scout Council, said: “It’s great to have Chris back in the show.

“I would like to thank the Weekly News for assisting us in our search for a drummer – the response was overwhelming.”

Tickets for the Wyre Gang are now on sale from the Marine Hall or they can be obtained on the door at any of the shows.
